GCSE Results

Seaford Head Community College is delighted with yet another excellent set of exam results with 77% of students achieving 5 A*-C grades, an increase from 68% last summer. These are the best set of results ever achieved in the college, and represent five years of consistent improvements. The results far exceeded the aspirational target set by the college of 70%.

Outstanding results were obtained by many individual students including Daniel Tuite who achieved 14 A*-A grades, Collette Blackman who achieved 11 A*-A grades and Oscar Hardy and Ellie Hawes who both achieved 10 A*-A grades.

99% of all students achieved at least 1 GCSE grade and 52% of students achieved 5A*-C grades including English Language and Maths.

Helen Key, Deputy Head, said “As a designated Science & Sports College we are particularly pleased with our results in these areas. Students studying all three separate sciences did exceptionally well with 100% of students gaining A*-C in Chemistry, and 98% achieving A*-C in Biology and Physics. 98% of students achieved an A*-C equivalent grade in BTEC Sport.

We are also delighted that of the students that took GCSE French every one achieved grades A*-C. Overall these are a superb set of results, made possible by the hard work of students and staff. I would like to congratulate all the students on their tremendous achievements this summer.”
